Voice Lessons

Emma teaches voice from the beautiful rooms of Ascension Parish in the Southwest Hills of Portland. Specialties include early music, opera, and art song, musical theater.

Other topics of study can include:

  • Diction instruction in German, Italian, Latin and French

  • Instruction in International Phonetic Alphabet

  • Preparation of choral parts and coaching for musical theater or opera roles

  • Solfege, sight singing and ear training

  • Music theory

Piano Lessons

Emma teaches beginning to intermediate piano for children and adults at Ascension Parish. Please inquire for information about tuition and openings.

Studio Policies

Rates

  • $65 - 1 hour lesson

  • $40 - half hour lesson (recommended for beginning piano students under 10)

Tuition is due at the beginning of each lesson by cash, check, or PayPal, or Venmo.

Scheduling & Attendance

  • Students may schedule single lessons, weekly lessons, or biweekly lessons.

  • Cancellations (except in case of illness) must be made 24 hours in advance if scheduled lesson.

  • Students will be charged for lessons missed or cancelled without notice. Students will not be charged for lessons cancelled by the instructor.

Practicing

  • Students are expected to practice at home, reviewing concepts, pieces, and techniques learned in lessons in order to grow as musicians.

  • Piano students must have access to an acoustic piano or a full suze electronic keyboard for home practice.

Respect

  • Mutual respect and kindness is expected from teacher to student and from student to teacher.
